PM SHRI GHS Morpirla observed World Environment Day on the theme One Mission – End Plastic Polution, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability where environmental, social, economic and health risks of plastics were focused on alongside other environmental problems, like climate change, ecosystem degradation and resource use. The school also launched Ek Ped Maa ke Naam 2.0 campaign and conducted various activities like Tree Plantation Drive where Students planted trees as a tribute to their mother and to protect mother Earth. They also made Bird Feeders to support local bird species. Students showcased environmental-themed posters in the poster making competition. Students performed a dance on Reduce plastic highlighting the importance of minimalizing plastic use and also sang a song on “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” promoting tree plantation and environmental conservation.
The celebration aimed to raise environmental awareness, encourage sustainable practices among students and promoted environmental consciousness, inspiring students to take action towards a greener future.
